Condolence Resolution
At the outset, a condolence resolution was passed on the sad demise of Mr. P. M. Mathew Ex. MLA, former President of the Alumni Association. His dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to the college community were remembered with deep respect and gratitude. The gathering observed silence in his memory.

Alumni Ratna Awards 2025–26
The prestigious “Poorva Vidyarthi Ratnam Award – 2025–26” was conferred upon distinguished alumni for their outstanding contributions in diverse fields:


  • Sr. Marian Mathew (PDC 1965–67): Superior community leader and former principal of several Anglo-Indian schools in Chennai; recipient of the Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Principal (2006).
  • Sri. Philip Kuriakose (PDC 1984–86): Agriculturist from Monippally, known for largescale tapioca, yam, taro, banana, and vegetable cultivation.
  •  Mr. V. J. Jose Kunju (PDC 1979–81): Senior Vice President, Editorial & Production (Books), Newgen Knowledge Works, Chennai; with prior experience in engineering, defense manufacturing, and international publishing.
  •  Mr. Vishnu Mohan (B.A. Economics 2004–07): Managing Director of Taiton Hardware, with notable projects including Cochin International Airport, Lulu Mall, and major hospitals and universities.
  •  Albin J. Thomas (B.Sc. Physics 2015–18): Civil Judge, Junior Division; secured 3rd rank in Kerala Judicial Service Examination 2023 and currently serving as Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Neyyattinkara.

Honouring Jubilarians

  • Golden Jubilarians (1976 Batch Students): Honoured for completing 50 years since
    graduation, symbolizing the college’s rich legacy and enduring alumni spirit.
  • Silver Jubilarians (2001 Batch Students): Recognized for completing 25 years since
    graduation, reflecting the continued bond between younger alumni and the institution.

  • Dr. Fr. Saju George SVD (B.A. English 1985–88): Theologian committed to charity and social justice; worked among tribal communities in India, carried out human development activities in Argentina, established charity services in Madrid during the pandemic, and now promotes the Laudato Si Movement for care of the earth.
  • Sri. P. J. Sacharias (PDC 1990–92): Agriculturist from Monippally; active in dairy cooperative societies, trained in artificial insemination, and known for cultivating diverse crops, bee‑keeping, and cattle farming.
  • Mr. Cyriac A. Patani (PDC 1976–78; B.Com 1979–82; M.Com 1982–84): Retired GM of Circulation, Malayala Manorama; corporate trainer and motivational speaker with extensive experience in sales leadership, marketing strategy, and customer service, having trained over 12,000 agents and professionals across industries.

  • Dr. C. George Thomas (PDC 1974–76): Chairman, Kerala State Biodiversity Board; eminent agricultural scientist, author of 21 books, with 90 research publications and 300 articles.
  • Dr. Xavier Mathew (B.Sc. Physics 1980–83): Senior Scientist, National Autonomous University of Mexico; renowned researcher in thin film solar cells and nanotechnology, with 135 international publications and 5 patents.
  • Sri. Narayanan Nampoothiri P. P. (PDC 1982–84; B.Sc. Physics 1984–87): Professor, Department of Physics, Brilliant Study Centre, Pala; recipient of the State Teachers Award 2021–22; NSS Programme Officer with extensive contributions to student welfare.
  • Sri. Thomas Chackunkal (B.Com 1974–77): Chartered Accountant & Managing Director, Contec Global Agro Ltd, Nigeria; with decades of leadership in multinational finance and industry.
  • Sri. B. Ashok (Gayathri Ashok) (B.Sc. Chemistry 1974–77): Celebrated film poster designer and screenwriter, contributing to the cultural and artistic heritage of Kerala.
