The Arachnology Research Laboratory, established in 2013, is a pioneering facility in Kerala dedicated to spider research, particularly theraphosid spiders of the Western Ghats.
Research grants totalling approximately ₹55 lakhs received under two major and two minor projects during 2010–2020, reflecting the department’s strong research culture.
